Stepping away from beauty for a moment, let’s chat about another one of my hobbies… crafting! As I’m in my new place now I’m starting to get more into decorating again. Decorating for Christmas is fun, however, I wanted to create something more winter-centric as Christmas is a very short time of the year vs. winter lasts quite a few months. Thus, my Snowmen Wine Bottles were born. I had seen a few ideas on Pinterest that I liked but none of them entirely captured what I wanted so I ended up winging it in the end. So let’s look at how I created my Snowmen Wine Bottle Art! I took pictures of a few of the steps and can fill in the blanks! Continue reading

Holiday Makeup: Simple Yet Festive
I feel like I’m way behind on my usual holiday makeup looks for the Christmas season but the time has just been flying by. With how accelerated time feels this may end up being my only holiday look for this season, but we’ll see! I’m trying to cram in as much as I can before going out of town this weekend between trying to see all my loved ones and getting ready to go. This holiday look isn’t anything dramatic or bold, but is a look that is easy to pull together. I’ve done a gold/neutral eye paired with a merlot red lipstick. I think this is a stunning combination! For my eye makeup I’ve busted out my tried and true Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette.
Holiday Gift Guide for Her 2017
Tis the season of lots of shopping, fa la la la la, la la la la… Ever get stumped and not sure what to get one of the ladies in your life? Me too! Similar to last year’s Holiday Gift Guide for Her, I thought I’d take another crack at this for 2017! This was extra hard because I’m done my Christmas shopping (or like…. 99% done) so I didn’t want to include anything I’ve actually purchased so that it isn’t spoiled. As well, I did a lot of my shopping at local craft shows. If you have any going on near you, go check them out! It was super inspiring and I got nearly all my gifts for both her and him purchased! But if that isn’y an option, here are a few easier to attain suggestions!
- Sephora Brand | Crazy for Clay! Mask Set Who doesn’t love treating themselves to a face mask? This set would be great as it comes with four different masks and each one has enough product for a few uses!
- Bath & Body Works 3-Wick Candle I had this on my list last year but I thought I’d mention my new favourite scent for this season. I still love Marshmallow Fireside but…. Campfire Donut is pretty amazing too!
- Photobook I love giving gifts that are personal! I personally love giving photobooks that document your relationship with the person you are giving the gift to. This is perfect for anyone that you’re super close to on your shopping list!
- Sephora Favourites | Give Me Some Nude Lip Set Got a makeup fiend on your shopping list? Sephora makes so many great favourites sets! This nude lipstick set has some great products in it and includes one full sized product.
- Scarf This is the perfect time of year for scarves and really, who could say they have too many? They are a staple in almost every lady I know’s wardrobe and the more variety, the better, I say!
- Gift Cards Another repeat from last year but it still stands! If you are stumped, most people I know love a good gift card! I know my husband and I always appreciate restaurant gift cards as it results in a nice date night out!
Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Spiced Plum
Holiday exclusives… I can’t help but get caught up in them. They are always so sparkly and festive, as well as limited. When I saw the Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Spiced Plum I was instantly drawn to it. It is a beautiful metallic berry shade which looked like it would be stunning on the lips. It is part of the Sephora Holiday Kiss Collection which is a series of limited-edition lipsticks exclusive to Sephora.

Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Spiced Plum
Right down to the packaging the Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Spiced Plum is straight up adorable. The details on the box and tube make it extra special. Continue reading
Holiday Look: New Year’s Eve
Hi guys! I was taking the ‘rest of the year’ off from writing blog posts, but I just couldn’t resist sharing my New Year’s Eve makeup look. I’m not going out tonight, but am having a relaxing night at home with my husband and bestie. But, that didn’t stop me from going full glam.
Holiday Look: Christmas Eve
Hi guys! For today’s holiday look, it’s also a makeup of the day post as I’m sharing what I am wearing for Christmas Eve. I have a family dinner tonight so I decided to do another festive look for the occasion. I say festive or holiday look loosely, as I’d wear most of these looks any time, but I find they all work well for the holiday season. I’ve been dying to use the shade Smashlee in the Violet Voss x Laura Lee Palette and just haven’t gotten around to it, so today seemed like the perfect time.
Holiday Look: Classic Red Lip
Hi guys! Today’s holiday look encompasses one of my favourite parts of this time of year, a classic red lip. And of course, for this I had to use one of my favourite reds, Too Faced Melted Matte in Lady Balls. I get so many compliments when I wear this colour and I definitely wear it more than ever during the holidays. Each time I wear it, I secretly hope that someone asks me what colour I’m wearing because this shade has such a great name. The looks I get when I say I’m wearing “Lady Balls” makes it so worth it.
Holiday Look: Cool & Metallic
Hi guys! My last holiday look was warm & cozy, so this time I thought I would go cool & metallic to change things up! I love wearing purple so I’d wear this every day, to a holiday party or wherever, but I thought it would fit nicely with the season. I love how different it is from any other holiday look that I’ve pulled together. If this isn’t your cup of tea for a Christmas party, I think it would be perfect for New Year’s Eve as well! Okay, let’s dive deeper into this cool & metallic holiday look!
St. Patrick’s Day Makeup for Every Day
Hi guys! Since St. Patrick’s Day is a workday if you work a 9-5 Monday to Friday job and you’re not on March Break I thought I would do a look that allows you to incorporate some green into your look without going over-the-top. All I did was one of my typical matte natural eye looks but added a pop of green under the eye. I’m really happy with how it turned out! If you’re looking for something a little more green, I did post a more green eye look a few months ago here!

I think this is a very work appropriate, yet fun look to do if you are stuck at work for St. Patrick’s Day! You could really add a pop of any colour to this look for any occasion. I personally love using purple under the eye with a neutral look like this (huge surprise, I know!).

Valentines Day Inspired Look
Hi guys! With Valentine’s Day being tomorrow I thought it would be fun to do a festive look for the occasion. Since pink is such a prominent colour for Valentine’s Day I decided to do a very pink look using the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette with other pink accents throughout the face.
