I posted all about the KL Polish shades Lumiere and Das Esspensive XXVI last week, so today I thought I’d share with you the other polish I ordered from them, Tuxedo Mask! I wasn’t originally going to purchase a third, however they had a deal going at the time where you could add it to your order for $5, so… why not? I love a shiny black nail polish when my nails are a bit shorter (like they currently are). Also… a name like Tuxedo Mask totally brings me back to my Sailor Moon watching days. I was obsesssssssed!

Colourpop x Kathleenlights Dream St Palette
This week has inadvertently been dubbed Colourpop week! I hauled some Colourpop products a few weeks ago so I guess it makes sense that they are all up for review right about now… Today I’ve got my review of the Colourpop x Kathleenlights Dream St Palette! I had my eye on this when Kathleenlights first announced it but I waited a bit to purchase it, so I’m really glad it was still available because it is a beauty! I tend to really like Kathleenlights’ collaborations, they always really represent the types of products, colours and finishes that she uses the most on her channel.
The Colourpop x Kathleenlights Dream St Palette is a warm toned palette with pops of colour mixed in for good measure. It also has all of the eye shadow finishes covered – mattes, satins and metallics. I was most drawn to the teal shades in the palette. They really remind me of a mermaid eyeshadow look that Kathleenlights did a few years ago. Continue reading
Spring Makeup Look: Colourpop x KathleenLights Dream St Palette
Spring still feels pretty far away in Thunder Bay since we got a huge dumping of snow a couple of weeks ago. But, Easter is later on this month so I want to get lots of colourful, spring makeup looks up before that! I have an Easter event later on this month so in creating these looks I’m also testing out what I want to do for that night. My first look is very pink and uses the Colourpop x KathleenLights Dream St Palette. It’s actually a pretty simple look that only uses TWO different eye shadows from the palette. I’ve used a few different brushes though to give off different levels of pigmentation for the matte shade.
Limited Edition Palettes That I Still Love
Limited edition… those two words that are meant to feel like you have to have something because someday it won’t be as easy to get your hands on. I have to admit, I’ve been hit by the urge to buy something because of those words. Particularly if it was something I was already interested in, the limited-edition-ness would simply seal the deal. This is because I have been burnt by missing out on a limited edition product that I really wanted because I waited too long. I try not to post about limited edition items when they are no longer available because I prefer that if something sparks interest with a reader, that they would be able to go out and purchase it. However, limited edition items need love too so today’s post is all about four limited edition palettes that I still love and use quite frequently. That’s the thing about limited edition items… sometimes they end up forgotten, no matter how much you felt like you needed to have it.
Anastasia Beverly Hills | Self Made Palette
The Anastasia Beverly Hills Self-Made Palette was the first ABH eyeshadow palette that I ever purchased and it really sparked my love for their eyeshadow. For that reason and just how great this palette is, it has a very special place in my heart. I pull this palette out quite often because it has a great variety. My favourite combination is Sherbert in the crease with Hot & Cold all over the lid and Hot Chocolate in the outer-v and under my eye. However, the shade Isla is also gorgeous and fun to use! Simple Cut Crease: KathleenLights Collabs Focused Look
Hi guys! Today I wanted to share with you the details of the look that I posted last weekend on Instagram of a look I did mainly using products that KathleenLights collaborated on with companies. I did the look in celebration of her birthday weekend which is why it is focused around her products. In case you didn’t figure it out, I’m a huge fan of her channel and the collaborations that she has done. I’ve purchased quite a few of them and I have yet to find one that wasn’t worth it. Morphe x Kathleenlights Eye Shadow Palette
Hi guys! Today I’ve got my first impressions of the Morphe x Kathleenlights Eye Shadow Palette for you! I hesitated posting this as the palette is currently sold out, but Morphe is still posting it on their Instagram so fingers crossed that it comes back at least one more time! If you didn’t already guess or assume, this palette was done in collaboration with YouTuber, Kathleenlights, who is one of my favourite ones to watch!
The Morphe x Kathleenlights Eye Shadow Palette is a fairly neutral palette with a few pops of colour. It contains a mix of mattes and shimmers, as well as warm tones and cool tones. What I love about this palette is that it looks like something that, if you are familiar with her channel, Kathleenlights would use all the time.
As for shadow quality, I have no complaints so far. I really enjoy my Morphe 35W palette so I knew I’d be happy with this one too. What I love about the mattes is that they are blendable and very buildable. This would be a great palette for someone starting out as it doesn’t immediately pack on the pigment so you can achieve a soft blended crease. The shimmer shades are stunning as well and look almost metallic on the lid and are buttery soft to apply. Continue reading
February Favourites
Hi guys! Today I am going to be sharing my favourites for the month of February with you! I can’t believe that it is March now. I don’t know where February went. I feel like I say this every month but February went even faster! I’m doing my favourites once again with a video and I’ve kept it short and sweet. I like to keep my list of favourites short and only talk about the products that have really stood out above the rest.
ColourPop x KathleenLights Haul
Hi guys! I absolutely love receiving my Colourpop orders! Their packaging is cute, the hand-written note is a nice touch and the products are always amazing! Best of all, I know I didn’t break the bank when I placed my order. I adore and support KathleenLights on YouTube so I knew when she did a second collection with Colourpop that I had to get my hands on it. Continue reading
