Too Faced | Most & Least Used Products

Too Faced

Since Too Faced is the Canadian Beauty Bloggers’ Brand of the Month for March I thought it would be fitting to go through my collection of Too Faced products and talk about my most and least used products. Too Faced was created in the 90’s, inspired by a love of Paris, girliness and the transformative power of makeup. They are a cruelty-free brand that seems to be best known for their cutesy and unique packaging, as well as the quality products inside.

Chocolate Bar Palette

I believe the Chocolate Bar Palette was my first Too Faced purchase and is definitely one of my most used products from them. It’s a great neutral palette that can be used for both toned down and dramatic makeup looks. I wouldn’t say it’s my most used neutral palette but I do dig it out quite often. Most of the shadows perform quite well and who doesn’t love a palette that smells like delicious chocolate? Continue reading

3 Glow Worthy Highlights

Highlighters-ABH-Becca-TheBalm.jpg

Hi guys! I have been getting more into highlighting over the past few years. I find myself constantly drawn to new highlights to add more glow to my face. I generally only highlight the tops of my cheek bones as I have oily skin. I have to be strategic to avoid looking greasy. However, I don’t let that get in the way of getting my highlight on! I’ve heard many oily skinned people say they avoid highlighting but honestly, I think if it’s applied right, anyone can pull it off. Today I want to share with you some of my favourite highlights!

The Balm | Mary Lou-Manizer

This highlight is essential in everyone’s make up collection. I have seen it applied on so many different skin tones and it looks amazing on all of them! This is a pretty intense highlight so blending and using a light hand is essential. When applied properly it adds such a beautiful glow to the face. It’s a beautiful “honey” shade that can also be used as an eye shadow! This is definitely a staple in my collection and no matter how many other highlights I purchase, I reach for this one time and time again! Continue reading

Liquid Lipstick Round-Up

Liquid Lipsticks Colourpop Kat Von D.jpg

Hi guys! This post is a day later than intended, I usually post on Wednesday’s, however due to unforeseen circumstances, I’ve been pre-occupied this week. I’m hoping Friday’s post will go up on-time but we will see how things progress. This is an unusual week.

So, today I thought it would be fun to round-up the liquid lipsticks in my collection. Liquid lipsticks are a very personal choice, everyone seems to have a different opinion on which they like. All of these opinions are based on my personal experience. What works for me, may be different for you.

Colourpop | Ultra Matte Liquid Lipsticks

The Colourpop Ultra Matte Liquid Lipsticks seem to have the most mixed reviews I have ever seen online. I however, love the ones that I have. I do make sure I read reviews before I purchase them though. It seems to make a difference in which colours you purchase when it comes to formula. I own a pretty good variety of shades, you can see them all in my swatches below. I find that they are pigmented and very long-wearing. They can be a bit drying, but I always put lip balm on while I’m doing the rest of my makeup and let it soak in and then I blot off the excess before applying my lipstick. When I do this, I do not notice a drying sensation and if I do, its many hours after I’ve applied it. Continue reading
