November Favourites: Makeup & Skincare

November… what a busy month it was! For my family it is the month of birthdays (including my own) and it was also NaBloPoMo so I’ve been doing my best to post every day this month! Choosing my favourites for this month was actually pretty difficult as I really had to refrain from listing off everything I got in my Sephora VIB Sale Haul, haha! Alas, I was able to prune my favourites and choose the standouts that I used the most this month! Continue reading

SNP Cat Wrinkle Mask Sheet

#MaskingMonday SNP Cat Wrinkle Mask Sheet

Oh my goodness this whole NaBloPoMo thing is coming so close to winning this battle. I think I’m just 100% more disorganized this year, I am flying by the seat of my pants. However, I am overall enjoying the challenge so bring on another post! Tonight I am trying out the SNP Cat Wrinkle Mask Sheet. I’ve used a few SNP masks over the years – I quite enjoy the fun animals on them! Continue reading

Farmacy Bright-On Massage Activated Vitamin C Mask

Farmacy Bright-On

I love trying new face masks! This week we will be chatting about the Farmacy Bright-On Massage Activated Vitamin C Mask that I picked up during the Sephora VIB Sale. This mask in particular jumped out at me for a few reasons… one the colour change intrigued me. Secondly, my skin has been so blah lately. The claims that this particular mask seemed perfect for my skin right now. Farmacy Bright-On promises to improve uneven skin-tone, pores and dullness. The texture of my skin and my pores have needed some serious improvement as of late.  Continue reading

Boscia Charcoal Pore Pudding

Boscia Charcoal Pore Pudding

I love trying new skincare. While I am by no means a skincare expert (at all), I enjoy picking up various samples of moisturizers, face masks, serums… you name it. Within the last year I picked up a deluxe sample of the Boscia Charcoal Pore Pudding (probably using Sephora points) and I have to say I have been using it quite a bit lately. My apologies in advance for the sub-par product shots… I tried experimenting with lighting (instead of natural light) in an effort to beat this fleeting daylight thing and so far I haven’t figured it out. Q2 Empties: April to June 2018

Q2 Empties 2018

I have been dying to sit down and make time to write this empties post considering Q2 ended a couple of weeks ago. My husband has asked me more than once if I’ve wrote it yet so I can throw out my garbage (blogger husband problems?), haha! If you follow me on Instagram you already know why I’ve been absent a lot lately. However, if you do not… I recently announced that my husband and I bought our forever home so we have been busting our asses finishing the renovations/updates to our current house.

Needless to say… I haven’t had a lot of time to test out new products or even sit down to write a post and edit photos. However, I gotta get this garbage out of my house so let’s chat about my Q2 empties! Continue reading

Le Petit Marseillais Mandarin & Lime Body Wash

Le Petit Marseillais Mandarin & Lime Body Wash

I was recently sent two samples of the Le Petit Marseillais Mandarin & Lime Body Wash complimentary for review from Influenster. I actually have a full sized bottle of their White Peach & Nectarine scent so the formula wasn’t new to me but I haven’t spoken about that on the blog yet either. The Le Petit Marseillais Body Wash promises to leave skin soft, moisturized and refreshed.  Continue reading

May Favourites: Makeup, Skincare & More!

May Favourites

For the first time ever I don’t feel like a month just flew by. I actually felt like May took a reasonable amount of time. The kitchen reno mayhem at the beginning of the month feels like it was already so long ago. May was a fantastic month… we finished painting the kitchen (flooring still to be put down), we had a lovely Cinqo de Mayo party with our friends, the beautiful warm weather arrived and I went on many hikes with my husband. It’s amazing what the warm weather and nature will do to the soul. Being outside hiking and seeing the beautiful scenery is so inspiring and really makes me appreciate living in North Western Ontario. All of these beautiful sights are right here ready to be taken in. No long commutes required! But I digress.. let’s chat about my favourites from the month of May because that is why we are all here! Philosophy Purity Made Simple Ultra-Light Moisturizer

Philosophy Purity Made Simple Ultra-Light Moisturizer

I purchased the Philosophy Purity Made Simple Ultra-Light Moisturizer as part of my skincare-centric spring VIB sale haul. I read a few reviews on the Sephora website from people who had claimed it worked well with their oily skin so I took a leap of faith and decided to try it out for myself. It claims to be good for all skin types and is said to be a solution for dryness, pores and dullness/uneven texture. So does it hold up to what it promises? Let’s find out! Continue reading

April Favourites: Makeup, Skincare & More!

April Favourites

My April Favourites are a little bit later than usual this time around but I have a few products that I can’t get enough of. As usual, I also have a few interesting miscellaneous favourites as well! Is anyone else feeling completely reinvigorated by the sunshine and spring beauty out there? After what always feels like a winter that is way too long the sunshine is making me feel so inspired. I have so many colourful makeup looks on my mind that I want to start working on. Continue reading
