Wednesday Wishes: Summer Edition

Wednesday Wishes.jpg

Hi guys! It’s been awhile since I did a wish list so I thought it would be fun to do one focused on products that I am eyeing up for the summer months. I don’t generally follow season-specific rules, but as the weather changes so does the needs of my skin, and I just find myself reaching for brighter colours!

Urban Decay | Vice Lipstick

I’ve been eagerly anticipating the launch of the Vice Lipsticks from Urban Decay, mainly because I love, love, love their Revolution Lipsticks. I’m really hoping these will be just as good, or better! I do like the different formulas in the range and like usual, I am drawn to the mattes. I would love to try all the formulas, but right now I am enticed by Vanity Kills (Mega Matte) and Backtalk (Comfort Matte). Vanity Kills looks like a fun lavender shade for the summer. Backtalk looks like a perfect everyday mauvey-nude which would go with a more “natural” looking every day look. I tend to wear less makeup on an average summer day since I’m doing more outdoor activities like going for a walk, hike or spending the weekend at the cottage.

Anastasia Beverly Hills | Modern Renaissance Palette

I absolutely loved the Anastasia Beverly Hills Self-Made Palette (and still do!) so it is no surprised I am drawn to this beauty. This looks like a beautiful array of pinks and warm-toned shades that again, would be perfect for the summer! There looks like there are some great neutrals for a very simple look, but lots of brights if you want to add some colour!

Make Up For Ever | Aqua XL Eye Pencil in M-30

In keeping with the “bright” theme that I tend to follow in the summer when I do feel like wearing makeup, this pastel green looks like it would be amazing for the waterline. I’ve been dying to try this formula and it claims to be waterproof!

Becca | Shimmering Skin Perfector Luminous Blush in Foxglove

I purchased a Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Luminour Blush during the Sephora VIB Sale and loved it so much I included it in my April Favourites. It’s a beautiful orchid shade and I just want to put it all over my cheeks!

Tarte | Rainforest of the Sea Foundation

I’ve seen excellent reviews of this foundation and apparently it’s dewy but works for oily skin. My only hesitation is that I would like to test the shades in person so this one will have to wait until I’m able to get to a Sephora. I think this is why I never try the new foundations that I have my eye on, I lose interest by the time I can actually go to a Sephora.

Urban Decay | One & Done Hybrid Complexion Perfector

Urban-Decay-One-&-Done

I love products that you can just slap on your face and you’re good to go. This moisturizes, light coverage and SPF. Unfortunately though this item is not available in Canada and Urban Decay doesn’t plan on bringing it here. So, this will have to wait until I go to the States in August.

So, these are the products that I am eyeing up for the summer! I hope to pick up at least a few of them! I think the highest items on my list are the Urban Decay Vice Lipsticks and the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette.

What do you have on your summer wish list? I’d love to hear about it in the comments down below!

xoxo,

Robyn

  1. I’m curious to try one of the MUFE XL pencils too but I’m still mad they discontinued my HG taupe colour! Ugh, I hope I can find something comparable! That pastel green would look amazing on you!

    • Aw that sucks when a HG is discontinued!! I hope you’re able to find a suitable replacement! I haven’t bought any new eyeliners in ages so I think this liner will be part of my next Sephora splurge… 🙂

  2. I tried that Tarte foundation and returned it – it was SO dry on me! I was so disappointed but it seems to work really well for others. I always have problems finding foundations that work for me though so not much of a surprise. Hopefully you have better luck!

Love the shades of the UD lipstick you chose – they look super pretty!
