MOTD: New Years Eve Inspired Look

Hi guys! I can’t believe that 2015 is close to coming to an end. When I look back at the year, there isn’t a lot that jumps out at me aside from starting this blog. I really think that this blog was the highlight of the year because it was the moment that I decided to take a chance and do something that I love. I’m not going to get into my resolutions in this post, as that will be it’s own post, but next year I’m going to aim higher that’s for sure.

I thought it would be fun to do a New Years Eve Inspired look. If you haven’t already decided what you’re doing for makeup tonight, maybe this will help get the wheels turning! Continue reading

Holiday Look #4

P1010902.jpg Hi guys! Welcome to another holiday inspired look! This is the look that I wore to my husband’s work Christmas party last Saturday. My inspiration was to do something that had gold and sparkle in it. Of course, given the nature of this event I wanted to add a red lip as well. Since I did a matte true-red lip in my last holiday post, I wanted to do something a bit different this time. I chose Urban Decay’s Catfight since it leans more on the pink side, but still has some red to it. I also thought the a bold red lip might have been a bit too much with my red dress. All in all, I’m very happy with how this look turned out! Continue reading

Holiday Look #3

Hi guys! I mentioned in this week’s Snapshot Sunday that I had two Christmas Parties that I attended this weekend. My intention was to post these before I left on both nights. However, with getting ready being the process that it is and being short on time, that didn’t happen. So, I am going to post them this week, starting with the first one (Friday’s) today. My apologies in advance for the less than ideal lighting, but I got ready in the evening so the sun was long gone by that time. Holiday Look #2

Hi guys! I have another holiday inspired look to share with you today. Since green is a fairly prominent colour during the holiday season I wanted to do a look where the main focus is green eye shadow. It definitely has colour to it so it is not a neutral look, but I don’t think it is over-the-top or dramatic either. I feel like it could be worn to both formal or casual holiday parties. I wore this look to a Christmas dinner at a friends house which was also an Ugly Christmas Sweater Party. Continue reading

Hi guys! Since are getting into the holiday season which is full of parties and other festivities, I thought it would be fun to start posting some holiday inspired looks. I’m not sure how many exactly I will do, but I can tell you this will be the first of the bunch! I love the holiday season, no matter what you personally celebrate, there is a warm cheerful spirit in the air. Continue reading

Halloween Featuring Black Widow & a Donut!!

P1010541

Hi guys! This is an exciting post because I don’t just have my look for Halloween, but I also have the look that I did on one of my best friends, Chrissy! We got ready together yesterday before going out for Halloween and this was the result! This was the first time I’ve ever did someone else’s makeup and I’m happy with the results! Her makeup was already partially done, so I did her eyes and cheeks. Since she was a donut I had some freedom to have fun with her eye makeup, so with that said, I’m going to go into more detail about her look.

Halloween Witch Makeup

P1010519

Happy (almost) Halloween everyone! Halloween is one of my absolute favourite times of the year. I love dressing up! To get into the spirit of Halloween I thought I would share with you the makeup that I will be pairing with my witch costume for work on Friday. I do have another costume that I will be wearing out but I’m going to save that one for Saturday. Since this is for work and I won’t have a lot of time in the morning, I went for something simple, but vampy.
