It’s been awhile since the last time I shared a manicure with you guys! My nails have been a mess lately so for awhile I was babying them with just OPI Nail Envy getting them back up to their regular strength. On top of that, my hands have been so dry this winter! However, I couldn’t pass up on posting a Valentine’s Day manicure. For today’s manicure I’m finally trying out YSL Catch Me Fuchsia which I won last year in a giveaway. YSL Rouge Pur Couture Lipstick

Last spring I won a YSL Beauty Box Giveaway hosted by beauty editor, Dave Lackie. In this prize was a YSL Rouge Pur Couture Lipstick, a formula I hadn’t tried before but obviously was excited to test out. Somehow it took me this long to do a proper test but I’m ready to share my thoughts on this product with you today. I received shade #201, Orange Imagine which is a beautiful matte orange red shade.

The gold packaging of this lipstick feels very luxe and has a bit of weight to it. The square shape of the tube, while not completely unique, does make it stand out a bit more in my collection of mostly classic round tubes. YSL Rouge Pur Couture Lipstick has a faint scent to it, I want to say it might be roses? The scent doesn’t last on the lips so you don’t have to worry about that if you are sensitive to scented products. Continue reading →

MOTD: Playing with New Makeup

Hi guys! I just did a MOTD post yesterday but, I thought, why not do two in a row? I started cleaning off my vanity today and decided to play around with some products I had out waiting to be tested. The end result turned out great so I thought I’d share it with you! I won a YSL Giveaway a few months ago but for some reason I haven’t spend as much time testing out the products as I would have liked to. My makeup routine has been so minimal on the weekends the last few months so that is likely why. During the week when I wear my normal face, I don’t have time to play around so I stick to what I know. Anyways, let’s check out the look and then I’ll talk a bit about the products I tried out!
