Hi guys! My pile of empties was getting a bit out of hand recently and my husband had asked if I was ready to throw my beauty trash out yet. I responded by saying I was waiting for the end of Q2… to which my accountant husband pointed out was over a month ago. It appears that I’ve completely lost track of time, so this post is a bit larger than my normal post, so I’m guessing Q3 will probably be a little on the light side. With that said, let’s see what I’ve finished up since my last post!
Makeup
Urban Decay | Naked Skin Concealer (Fair Neutral)
This was my ride or die concealer for quite some time. I think this is my second one that I’ve emptied over the past year. I love the shade of it, as well as how well it blends out while maintaining it’s pigmentation. While I have seen mixed reviews on it, it always worked for my skin. Would I repurchase it? Yes, but right now I’ve been pretty head over heels for the Tarte Shape Tape Concealer. That being said, I still have room in my heart for this beauty.
Urban Decay | Eye Shadow Primer Potion (Original)
I’ve emptied out quite a few of these over the years as it is definitely my go-to eye shadow primer. I’ve tried many others but none of them stack up to this one. The formula seems to really work well with my eye lid chemistry for longer lasting eye shadow. Would I repurchase it? Already did! I tried to live without this and use other ones I had and it was dark, dark times!
Quo | Makeup Blending Sponge
I very recently retired this makeup blending sponge. These are great as they are so inexpensive so I don’t feel bad when I’m finally done with them. They also have a great texture so they blend out makeup quite well! Would I repurchase it? Sure would! Actually, when I got this one I purchased two so I just started a fresh one!
Real Techniques | Miracle Complexion Sponge
This is another blending sponge that I do enjoy using. I like the pointed tip for blending out concealer under my eyes. The flat part is also great as I use that for blending foundation. Would I repurchase it? Yes, I just tend to go for the Quo one because when you get them on sale it’s much more cost effective.
Annabelle | Skinny Brow Liner (Universal Taupe)
I like these as they are inexpensive and great if you want to try a shade on your brows. They have a very precise tip so it’s easy to get a more natural looking brow fill. Would I repurchase it? Yes! I usually have one of these on the go. Right now I’m using Universal Medium as my hair is darker.
L’Oreal | Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation (Classic Ivory)
I’ve emptied so many of these I’ve lost count so I’m really not going to say much. This is my daily, go-to, can’t live without it foundation. Would I repurchase it? You bet!
Skincare
Bath & Body Works | White Citrus Shower Gel
I made it my mission to use up some shower gels that I had partial bottles of laying around. That consisted of a few bottles of the White Citrus scent. My husband used to take this with him on business trips so somehow we ended up with a bunch of bottles on the go. I definitely do enjoy the Bath & Body Works Shower gels. Would I repurchase it? Yes, this scent is nice and light and neutral enough that both myself and my husband can use it.
St. Ives | Green Tea Scrub
This is another product I seem to go through quite a few of so I won’t talk about it much. I did however do a full review on it which you can find here. Would I repurchase it? Absolutely! I always have a tube of this in my shower.
Garnier | Ultra-Lift Anti-Wrinkle Firming Night Cream
I’ve emptied quite a few of these as well. It has been a regular in my night time routine for awhile now. Would I repurchase it? Yes, but I decided to take a break and try new products so at the moment I have no immediate plans to buy another.
Bath & Body Works | Golden Pineapple Luau Shower Gel
I picked this up last spring (2016) but it took me awhile to actually open it up as I was finishing up other shower gels. The scent is quite fruity but I really enjoyed it. Every time I used it I wished so badly that I was somewhere tropical. Would I repurchase it? Yes! I’d consider picking up this scent again for sure.
Miscellaneous
Sally Hansen | Extra Strength Nail Polish Remover
I finished up another bottle of my favourite nail polish remover! I love how quickly this removes my nail polish considering it isn’t 100% acetone (which is my other go-to). Would I repurchase it? Yes, however I just picked up another bottle of acetone which I prefer over this.
Glisten & Glow | HK Girl Fast Drying Top Coat
This was my go-to top coat for the last year or so. It lasted me quite a long time as it didn’t get goopy too quickly and if it did, it thinned out rather easily with nail polish thinner drops. My manicures usually lasted a decent amount of time and were usually dry fast enough to allow me to use my hands shortly after applying. Would I repurchase it? Yes, but, it isn’t stocked on Nail Polish Canada anymore which makes it a bit more difficult/costly for Canadian’s to get their hands on. Boo!
Marc Anthony | Coconut Oil & Shea Butter Curl Cream
Another product that has been my go-to all year! I really enjoy this curl cream as my hair feels a bit healthier after using it, as well as appears more polished. My curls definitely last a long time with this and it’s as simple as adding a bit to wet hair and allowing it to air dry. Would I repurchase it? Yes! I have a new bottle of this currently on the go.
Wow! Not a single dud! A lot of these products are staples in my routine though so that definitely adds up. Now these products have all been sent to beauty heaven while I amass another round up of empties for what is left of Q3!
What was the last item that you emptied? Let me know in the comments below!

Robyn

Great job on the empties! I picked up a travel size of the hairspray in the Marc Anthony Coconut Line and it was awesome. As soon as I finish up the hairspray I’m currently using, I’m buying a full-size of it. It smells amazing – like vacation!

I think I need to try the Urban Decay eyeshadow primer! For you to repurchase it, must be worth the money.

Yeah I really enjoy it! I do know some people who don’t like it so it’s kind of hit or miss based on preference. Some people find it works best if you set it before applying eye shadow to help blending.
