Halloween 2018: Devil Costume

Devil Costume

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Halloween is my favourite holiday! I just love getting dressed up and going out! It’s so much fun. I usually start thinking about and planning for halloween a few months in advance however with how busy this summer and fall were, I ended up pulling together costumes for myself and my husband less than a week before the event we went to last weekend. I decided to be a devil, which meany my husband ended up being an angel. Considering how little time it took to put together these costumes I’m quite pleased with how they turned out!

The inspiration for the devil costume really does centre around makeup. I wanted to do something dark and a devil was the first thing that came to mind.

Angel & Devil Costume

Not surprisingly, it took me three eye shadow palettes to gather the shades that I wanted to use on my eyes: Kat Von D Serpentina Palette, Kat Von D Shade + Light Palette and Morphe x Jaclyn Hill Vault Collection – Ring the Alarm Palette.

I think out of the whole makeup look I’m most proud of how well the ombre lip came out. The wing also somehow turned out well too. It was looking really wonky until I added the stripe of red and then like magic it all came together.

Before I close off the post I just wanted to share another photo from my night out so I can show off how amazing by bestie did her and her man’s makeup.
