Hi guys! It’s been a little bit since I last posted about a face mask but I’ve finally taken some time to relax and put on a face mask so I thought I’d share some of my thoughts with you. This time I have tried the Tony Moly I’m Real Red Wine Mask Sheet. As a lover of red wine, I couldn’t possibly pass up this sheet mask. This mask is formulated with, you guessed it, red wine extract which reduces the appearance of large pores while it both tightens and purifies the skin. Now, as a disclaimer, I did do the Glamglow Supermud Clearing Treatment first to help extract the gunk from my pores, as they needed some serious TLC.
The first thing I noticed about the Tony Moly I’m Real Red Wine Mask Sheet is that it is definitely not cut to fit comfortably on my face. I’m not sure if my face was too large, or if the holes just didn’t align, but something just wasn’t right. As a result, it bunched up in a few areas. Hi guys! I’ve been making an effort to do a face mask a week as part of my skincare routine so I’ve been really enjoying trying out different ones that I’ve acquired over the past while. Today I’m sharing my recent experience with the Farmacy Honey Potion Renewing Antioxidant Hydration Mask with you. I picked this up with some Sephora points with another Farmacy product but this was my first time using it. Farmacy is a brand I had been wanting to try for awhile so I was eager to try this out (as well as the Sleep Tight Balm which I’ve recently emptied 💔).
When first applied the Farmacy Honey Potion feels exactly like you would think… sticky like sweet honey. I globbed (that’s the best word I can think of) it all over my face and instantly felt a warming sensation. After snapping a quick picture, I started to massage it into my face as the instructions indicate for 1 to 2 minutes. It continued to warm and transformed into a white cream. The packaging said it would change but I was pretty surprised with how much it transformed (second photo below). After I was done massaging it into my face I let it sit for 15 minutes before removing it. The last photo below is right before I rinsed it off. Continue reading
Hi guys! In my quest to try out more face masks, the next once I’ve tried is the Sephora Avocado Sheet Mask. I received this item complimentary from Sephora as part of an invitation to their local launch party last month. I was pretty excited to see this item was sent as I frequently put it in my cart and then end up taking it out. Does anyone else do that? I’m so indecisive. Anyways, I love avocados so why not put them on my face?
I started off with a clean face (first image) and place it on my face (second image). I left it on for about 15 minute as the packaging suggested. Based on the Sephora website this mask is said to “[Nurture] and [support] healthy skin by offering intense nutrition and relieving sensitive areas.” After removing the mask there was some serum left on my face (third photo), though there wasn’t a ton which leads me to believe my face absorbed most of it. Hi guys! Today I’m reviewing another mask. I’d like to put out weekly mask reviews so this is the next one in my lineup of masks to try. I’ve heard many positive things about the Glamglow Gravitymud Firming Treatment so I decided to pick up the smaller size to see if it is worth the hype. Also, I kind of wanted to feel like the Tin Man from the Wizard of Oz. Is that so wrong? Anyways, this mask was designed to tighten the appearance of skin, as the name suggests.
The mask has a light coconut scent to it so it is really quite the treat to the nose if you love coconut scented products such as myself. It felt a bit gooey as I applied it but it was very easy to get a clean application and avoid my eyebrows as the packaging suggests. As it dries it becomes more of a shiny silver shade so you can truly get your Wizard of Oz vibes on. Although it dries down to be peeled off, it didn’t feel tight on my skin. Hi guys! Between wearing more sunscreen, going on hikes and having minimal skincare at the cottage, my skin has been in definite need for a detoxification. The Glamglow Supermud Clearing Treatment which we will be taking a look at today is meant to visibly clear the complexion. It can be used for all skin types to address oiliness, acne/blemishes and to clear pores. The activated charcoal with it’s Pore-Matrix technology reveals dots of vacuum extractions lifts away dirt and other debris that may be clogging your pores. The result is said to be a more healthy looking complexion.
The first thing I noticed when applying this mask was the slightly minty scent that it has. Upon application my skin felt a little cold and refreshed. Perfect for a hot summer day! As it dried, while I couldn’t speak without cracking the mask, it also did not feel too tight. As it dried it started to change colour, and the Pore-Matrix technology started to reveal the dots of vacuum extractions. Gross in theory, kind of neat to look at though! There were some larger pieces of charcoal in the mask which is what the large black pieces are in the photos below. Continue reading
