What an unusually busy summer and fall it has been! The Sephora Spring VIB Rouge Sale is right around the corner! This time around I’m looking to haul some skincare. I’ve been really getting into researching new products to use in my routine. One of the biggest deterrents for me for buying quality skincare is the price so the sale seems like a great time to pick up some new products!
I used a sample of the Farmacy Sleep Tight Firming Night Balm and I really loved the way it made my skin feel in the morning. It supports firming and toning of the skin, as well as reduces fine lines. I’m all about preventative skincare when it comes to anti-aging products so I would love to add this product to my routine. The interesting part about this product is that it is a balm but it melts into an oil in your hands as it warms. Continue reading
The annual fall Sephora VIB Rouge Sale is almost upon us and though I’m planning on going light this year, I thought I’d gather up a few items I have my eye on. I likely won’t buy all of these but I always like to have a game plan ready before a big sale! I find it helps keep impulse buys to a minimum. My list is a combination of fun things I’ve had my eye on and practical items that I just don’t want to pay full price for. So, let’s dive into my list, shall we?
After the Anastasia Beverly Hills Subculture Eyeshadow Palette being kind of a flop (note: I did keep it, I do actually use it, but I don’t love it as much as their previous palettes), I was a bit skeptical on the Prism Eyeshadow Palette. However, so far, it looks promising so I will probably pick it up, given the eyeshadow palette addiction that I have.
I’ve had my eye on Black Truffle for quite some time. It is just the kind of vampy shade that I love wearing at this time of the year. I quite enjoy the Amuse Bouche formula, it isn’t my favourite, but it’s quite nice to wear. Continue reading
Hi guys! I’m heading to the States this weekend so as always, I’ll be making a stop at Ulta. My shopping list contains all products that are not readily available near me. Some of these may be available in Canada but they aren’t items I’ve seen locally. I’m so excited to take a good wander around Ulta, I haven’t browsed around one since September!
I got a sample of this a few Ulta trips ago and I really liked it for the odd time that I have stubborn and painful acne. This product really helped dry them up and heal faster.
I’ve been wanting to try some TonyMoly sheet masks so I’ll likely pick up a few different ones but this one stood out to me during a quick browse of the Ulta website. This mask is supposed to reduce the appearance of large pores which is definitely appealing to me. Also, I love red wine so obviously my eyes were drawn to this one. Continue reading

We are still waiting on official dates but it is sounding like the dates for VIB Rouge will be April 18 to 24th which is all we know right now. I’ve been getting more into perfumes lately and I sampled this the other day in Sears and fell in love. I’m terrible at describing notes, so I’m going to snag those from the Sephora website:Â Coffee Accord, Orange Blossom, Cedarwood Essence, Patchouli Essence. It just smelled delightful. I have to say, Cat’s Instagram made me seek this out to give it a sniff! I still can’t wrap my head around how much perfumes cost so the Spring VIB sale seems like a good time to splurge! I don’t generally follow season-specific rules, but as the weather changes so does the needs of my skin, and I just find myself reaching for brighter colours!
Urban Decay | Vice Lipstick
I’ve been eagerly anticipating the launch of the Vice Lipsticks from Urban Decay, mainly because I love, love, love their Revolution Lipsticks. I’m really hoping these will be just as good, or better! I do like the different formulas in the range and like usual, I am drawn to the mattes. I would love to try all the formulas, but right now I am enticed by Vanity Kills (Mega Matte) and Backtalk (Comfort Matte). Vanity Kills looks like a fun lavender shade for the summer. Backtalk looks like a perfect everyday mauvey-nude which would go with a more “natural” looking every day look. I tend to wear less makeup on an average summer day since I’m doing more outdoor activities like going for a walk, hike or spending the weekend at the cottage.
Anastasia Beverly Hills | Modern Renaissance Palette
I absolutely loved the Anastasia Beverly Hills Self-Made Palette (and still do!) so it is no surprised I am drawn to this beauty. This looks like a beautiful array of pinks and warm-toned shades that again, would be perfect for the summer! There looks like there are some great neutrals for a very simple look, but lots of brights if you want to add some colour! Continue reading

I feel like most of my wish list seems to revolve around highlighting the face which I have no issue with at all. You’ll be surprised to see there isn’t a single eyeshadow palette on this list! Urban Decay Afterglow 8-Hour Powder Highlight: Aura
This light pink highlight has had me hooked since I saw it start to appear online recently. I think it would compliment my fair skin so I know it needs to make its way into my online shopping cart ASAP. Also, I love the Afterglow blushes, they are my favourites, so I have high hopes for the highlighters!
