Hi guys! I don’t really go out of my way to celebrate St. Patrick’s day, but I do partake in the tradition of wearing green and I usually incorporate it into that week’s manicure. This year I didn’t really feel like going too fancy, as it is hard to paint your nails when there are four dogs in the house (2 of my own, dog-sitting 2) so I went pretty basic and did green with a gold accent nail.
Products Used:
OPI Chip Skip
OPI Nail Envy Original (1 coat)
OPI Uh-Oh Roll Down the Window (2 coats on all fingers except ring fingers)
OPI Goldeneye (3 coats on ring fingers only)
Glisten & Glow HK Girl Fast Drying Top Coat (1 coat)
I can’t believe I have never worn Uh-Oh Roll Down the Window until now. I’ve had it since it launched with the OPI Fall 2011 Touring America Collection and it’s been quietly sitting amongst my other green polishes. It is an absolutely gorgeous khaki green shade. Not your typical St. Patrick’s Day green but it gives the manicure a nice twist. I’m not sure if it is still available but if you spot it, it’s worth picking up. It applied so nicely and I can’t stop staring at it. I know Goldeneye for sure discontinued now as it was part of the limited edition Skyfall holiday collection in 2012. It is a bit on sheer side, as it seems to more closely resemble sparkles suspended in a base, rather than an actual pigmented shimmery gold shade… If that makes sense… So I had to use 3 coats to get full coverage but it still did apply nicely.
Are you planning a St. Patrick’s Day themed manicure? Let me know in the comments down below!
xoxo,
Robyn

This looks fun! I completely forgot that it’s St Patrick’s day this week! I’ll need to dig through my stash to see what I have. I might bust out Illamasqua Rampage:

Not your typical St. Patty’s day green but oh well.
Enjoy your pack of dogs haha!

The less typical the green, the better! The only reason I remember St Patrick’s Day is because it’s the day after my dad’s birthday. I don’t think I’ve ever actually celebrated it on purpose haha!
I can’t believe I managed to do my nails in a house by myself with the pack of dogs! They were surprisingly really well behaved!
