Hi guys! I’ve got another Love for Lipstick post for you today! We will be taking a closer look at the Buxom Wildly Whipped Lightweight Liquid Lipstick in the shade Lover. I picked this beauty up when I went to the preview party prior to the opening of Sephora in Thunder Bay a few weeks ago. The Buxom Wildly Whipped Lightweight Liquid Lipstick (wow that’s a mouthful!) is said to have the pigmentation of a liquid lipstick but the comfort of a gloss.

The formula itself is definitely whipped as the name suggests. It applies almost like a mousse and has a slightly thicker consistency compared to your standard liquid lipstick. It definitely is quite pigmented and only requires one coat of product.It kind of reminded me of the NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams. Between the formula and the doe-foot applicator it is quite easy to get a nice even application. 

1. 8 AM – freshly applied 2. 12 PM – pre-lunch check-in 3. 12:45 PM – post-lunch check-in

The Buxom Wildly Whipped Lightweight Liquid Lipstick was definitely quite comfortable to wear but it definitely does not have the staying power of a liquid lipstick. I only did 3 check-ins as I had to reapply after lunch. I think this is a great product for shorter duration use or if you are planning on bringing it with you to touch up. Additionally, I think that if you don’t like a traditional liquid lipstick, this whipped formula might be something to try out as it doesn’t dry down completely matte and keeps a softness to it.

Overall, while I don’t think I’ll be adding more of these to my lipstick collection (as I do prefer a more long-wear liquid lipstick) it is still a great product and I’ll continue to use it.
