Collective Haul: December 2018

Collective Haul December 2018

Happy New Year everyone! Though I plan on sharing both my NYE makeup look and my 2018 favourites, I thought I’d first start off the year by posting my collective haul from December. I actually bought quite a bit of makeup from Sephora last month between the $25 off purchases of $75+ coupon code earlier in the month and then gift cards I received for Christmas. So let’s take a look at what I picked up last month. Continue reading

MOTD: Purple for Pancreatic Cancer

November is Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month and at work today I helped organize a fundraiser for this very important cause. After losing a friend to this illness last year I did some research and realize how truly terrifying this particular cancer is. Purple is the colour of Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month so we encouraged everyone to wear purple today so you know I had to have my makeup match!

November Favourites: Makeup & Skincare

November… what a busy month it was! For my family it is the month of birthdays (including my own) and it was also NaBloPoMo so I’ve been doing my best to post every day this month! Choosing my favourites for this month was actually pretty difficult as I really had to refrain from listing off everything I got in my Sephora VIB Sale Haul, haha! Alas, I was able to prune my favourites and choose the standouts that I used the most this month! Continue reading

Holiday Party Essentials

Holiday Party Essentials

Holiday party season is upon us! While I am personally more of a hermit (hello fellow introverts!) I do enjoy putting together makeup looks for the occasion. There are three things that I think are essential to any classic makeup look I put together… silver eyeshadow, glitter and a red lip! So let’s chat about three products that I think fit the bill for holiday party essentials! Continue reading

Friday Feels: November 23, 2018

Friday Feels

Happy Friday! Who else is ready for the weekend? I was actually off work today but it still felt like a long week. I’m looking forward to catching up on some zzz’s this weekend.

Current Happenings

Since today is Black Friday I woke up early and did some light shopping with the husband today. I ended up scoring a Christmas tree at Michael’s. They had a pre-lit 7.5 foot tree as one of their door busters and my old tree needed replacing so we scooped that up! I also found some ornaments on sale! It was a great day out! I ended up decorating the tree when I got home and really got into the Christmas spirit! I’m usually pretty indifferent about Christmas but maybe being in the new house has changed how I feel about it. Continue reading

Neglected Palette Makeup Look: Morphe 35O Palette

Morphe 35O

Another week, another neglected palette makeup look! This week I’m using the Morphe 35O Palette which was another one mentioned in my Five Neglected Eyeshadow Palettes post. When I see the Morphe 35O Palette I instantly think of a warm orangey makeup look, so since I have done that before many times, I thought I’d focus on the brown shades in the palette to switch things up a bit. Farmacy Bright-On Massage Activated Vitamin C Mask

Farmacy Bright-On

I love trying new face masks! This week we will be chatting about the Farmacy Bright-On Massage Activated Vitamin C Mask that I picked up during the Sephora VIB Sale. This mask in particular jumped out at me for a few reasons… one the colour change intrigued me. Secondly, my skin has been so blah lately. The claims that this particular mask seemed perfect for my skin right now. Farmacy Bright-On promises to improve uneven skin-tone, pores and dullness. The texture of my skin and my pores have needed some serious improvement as of late.  Continue reading

Palette Spotlight: Natasha Denona Eyeshadow Palette 5 – Colour 1

Natasha Denona Eyeshadow Palette 5 - Colour 1

It’s always so hard to choose which palette to swatch and chat about for Palette Spotlight but today I thought I’d grab the Natasha Denona Eyeshadow Palette 5 in Colour 1. I wish her smaller palettes had better names because it’s not fun to just simply say “Colour 1”. Oh well. I purchased this a few years ago during one of the VIB sales because I don’t think I would ever pay full price for one of her palettes. Their prices are absolutely insane. However, curiosity got the best of me and I had to try one.
