Best of 2018

Nearly a week into 2019 and I’m still in a bit of disbelief that 2018 is over. I don’t know if the year flew by or if it seemed like a long year. I just can’t tell! While the summer flew by because my life revolved around fixing up my old house to get it ready to sell, it also feels like Paris (where I started the year) seems like an eternity ago. Anyways, regardless, I’m excited to share with you my best of 2018! I decided to categorize it this year to make it easier to round up my favourites to make sure nothing was missed. NaBloPoMo Challenge In Review

It’s over!! If you listen closely you will hear the cheers of many, many bloggers who, like me, partook in the National Blog Posting Month (NaBloPoMo) Challenge this month. Given that I basically didn’t blog at all over the summer and fall due to my crazy life this was a bit of a wake up call. MOTD: Purple for Pancreatic Cancer

November is Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month and at work today I helped organize a fundraiser for this very important cause. After losing a friend to this illness last year I did some research and realize how truly terrifying this particular cancer is. Purple is the colour of Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month so we encouraged everyone to wear purple today so you know I had to have my makeup match!

Stepping away from beauty for a moment, let’s chat about another one of my hobbies… crafting! As I’m in my new place now I’m starting to get more into decorating again. Decorating for Christmas is fun, however, I wanted to create something more winter-centric as Christmas is a very short time of the year vs. winter lasts quite a few months. Thus, my Snowmen Wine Bottles were born. I had seen a few ideas on Pinterest that I liked but none of them entirely captured what I wanted so I ended up winging it in the end.
