Hi guys! Welcome to another Mani Monday (though we are now past Monday, see below for why this post is late)! Today I’ve got Cult Nails Manipulative on my nails. For those of you who may be unfamiliar, Cult Nails was an indie nail polish brand that was around until they closed their doors in spring of 2015. It’s really too bad because they made some incredible polishes and one of my favourite top coats. Even though it’s harder to get a hold of their polishes, I didn’t want to neglect the ones I have in my collection so I thought I would share it with you anyways. Manipulative is a turquoise/blue shade with a hint of shimmer to it, though on the nails looks more like a cream. Hi guys! Today I wanted to share with you the details of the look that I posted last weekend on Instagram of a look I did mainly using products that KathleenLights collaborated on with companies. I did the look in celebration of her birthday weekend which is why it is focused around her products. January Favourites

Hi guys! I can’t believe January is done and we are 1/12 through 2017! January was a great month though, I got back into a workout routine (after Christmas derailed the routine I got into in early December), there were quite a few celebrations over the course of the month and though it was stressful at times, I persevered. OPI DS Mystery

Hi guys! It’s Mani Monday again and today I have OPI DS Mystery to share with you. I was inspired to dig out this polish after I saw it in a haul over on Helpless Whilst Drying! I’ve had this shade in my collection for a number of years now and it had been neglected. While it is a beautiful polish, I do remember why it has been neglected for so long. Is it just me or do the OPI DS polishes have terrible wear time? Normally I start off my posts with “this week I’m wearing *insert polish here*” but I can’t even say that as I’m typing this with bare nails. Hi guys! Today I have a super excited Love for Lipstick post for you today! Not only is it my first of 2017, but it also is a local product! Today we’re looking at Hail Cosmetics, an independent cosmetics company based right here in Thunder Bay. Their products are not only hand-crafted but are also cruelty-free. At the moment their lineup is a range of Eternal Matte Lipsticks which are available in Thunder Bay at Mars Clothing, or on their website. At this time shipping is only available to Canada. 1. What is your favourite nail polish finish (eg. creme, crelly, glitter, etc)?

Definitely a cream! They are the easiest to apply, never go out of style and easiest to remove! There’s nothing I love more on my nails than a nice glossy cream polish.

Makeup Geek Haul

Hi guys! Today I have a Makeup Geek haul for you! Around the holidays they had a sale on quite a few of their items so I thought that was the perfect opportunity to pick up a few more of their products. I already own and love quite a few of their foiled eye shadows but I had always been meaning to try more. With the Canadian dollar and cost of shipping what it currently is, I was holding out for some kind of sale. Makeup Geek is already a very reasonably priced and quality brand though. For this haul, I picked up the Kathleenlights Highlighter Palette (Kathleenlights AND highlighters? How could I not?) and a few of their eye shadow pans and a blush! Continue reading →
