Hi guys! A week or so ago I posted about 3 Natural Looking Blushes so today I thought I’d go the other direction and talk about 3 blushes that add a pop of colour to your cheeks. So these are less natural and more pigmented. My choices still do blend beautifully into the skin, they just stand out a little more.
Urban Decay | Afterglow 8-Hour Powder Blush in Rapture
I think this is the only cool toned blush that I own but I love how different it is from the rest of my collection. Rapture is a beautiful deep purply mauve shade and definitely adds a pop of colour to the cheeks! It has a very, very subtle hint of shimmer but I find it looks more matte than anything.
Too Faced | Love Flush Long-Lasting 16-Hour Blush in How Deep Is Your Love
How cute is this blush? I love the detailing on the blush itself with the bunnies. If you didn’t already know, I have a pet bunny so this blush is extra special to me. Anyways, this blush is a watermelon pink and due to it’s pigmentation it provides more of a pop of colour as opposed to a natural flush. I tend to use this with simple eye looks so that I don’t have too much going on.
Becca | Shimmering Skin Perfector Luminous Blush in Snapdragon
This blush is SO pigmented, you need to tread carefully with this one. Just a very tiny dip of a fluffy blush brush (I love the Morphe E4 for this) is all you need to get beautiful coral cheeks. This is definitely a “summer colour” but, I don’t really follow season rules. There are definitely colours I feel more inclined to wear at different times of the year, but this blush is just too beautiful to put away for half the year. It has some shimmer to it, but I don’t find it to be too glittery, it adds a beautiful sheen to the cheeks.
Just a note, for my swatches, I used my finger and I did build them up a bit so that you can see the colour better.
Anyways, those are my choices! What is your favourite “pop of colour” blush? Let me know in the comments down below!
xoxo,
Robyn

I’ve been meaning to get snapdragon! Those becca blushes seem so beauty with great (albeit sometimes too much) colour payoff. A great pop of colour blush that I adore and will never hit pan on because it’s SO pigmented is Taj Mahal from Nars. Like snapdragon it has just a hint of shimmer and gives the most beautiful ‘lit from within’ glow.

Ooh I’ll have to look up that NARS blush, sounds beautiful! And yeah, the Becca blushes are VERY pigmented, but a very light hand makes them very wearable!

Oooh that Becca is calling out to me! I’m not sure if I “need” it but man, I want it! I think “summer” colours can totally work in the winter too.
I love brightly pigmented blushes, I have so many! I don’t know why but I always end up wearing them sheerly anyway.
Some gems: Cargo Key Largo, Illamasqua Hussy, MAC Bite of an Apple, Shiseido Orchid… I love them all! ❤

Oooh, I’ll have to check those out! I think ‘summer’ colours add a bit of brightness to typically dark and dreary times of the year!

Ahh, the Becca blushes are on my wish list, but do I need more blush? Definitely not. I’d LOVE to try one of the UD ones, too!

I think between the Becca and the UD, the UD is definitely my favourite, much more forgiving to work with!
