Wednesday Wishes: Spring Edition

Hi guys! It’s almost that time of the year again… The Sephora Spring VIB Sale! We are still waiting on official dates but it is sounding like the dates for VIB Rouge will be April 18 to 24th which is all we know right now. With that in mind, I thought it was time to share my wish list! I likely won’t purchase all of these items, and I may stray, but this is a good place to start!

Yves Saint Laurent | Black Opium

I’ve been getting more into perfumes lately and I sampled this the other day in Sears and fell in love. I’m terrible at describing notes, so I’m going to snag those from the Sephora website: Coffee Accord, Orange Blossom, Cedarwood Essence, Patchouli Essence. It just smelled delightful. I have to say, Cat’s Instagram made me seek this out to give it a sniff! I still can’t wrap my head around how much perfumes cost so the Spring VIB sale seems like a good time to splurge! Mani Monday: OPI Koala Berry with a Twist

Hi guys! It’s been awhile since I’ve posted a manicure so I thought it was about time to share my latest. I was trying to plan a manicure for a night out, but I wanted something quick and easy so I went with the classic glitter accent to add a twist. MOTD: Nature Inspired Look

Hi guys! Today I thought I’d share with you the makeup that I’m currently wearing! As I was digging through my eyeshadow palette collection I knew I wanted to do something different on my eyes. So, I decided to grab my z-palette which is full of single eye shadows of varying brands. I was instantly drawn to my newer green shadows from Makeup Geek so I knew I wanted to incorporate those. The results? I ended up with a very forest/nature inspired look. I absolutely love combining greens and warmer browns to achieve a look like this. I actually did a somewhat similar one when I posted about the Kat Von D Metal Matte Palette here! Funny enough, with both looks I ended up going for Colourpop’s Barracuda on the lips. There is just something about this lipstick that goes so well with greens.

Hi guys! It’s been quite some time since I’ve posted my everyday makeup look (and it was I think the SECOND post on this blog!) and lately, when I’m not feeling overly ambitious, this is the makeup look I’ve been rocking. So essentially, mostly day-to-day at work. Daylight savings time has made me a bit uninspired, but I’ve been really liking this combination of products! Hi guys! While I normally love rocking a bold, bright lip, lately I’ve found myself drawn to neutrals so I thought I’d take a peak through my collection and share with you the five that I have been wearing the most. To be honest, they are probably all similar in shade, but, that’s okay! I love them all for different reasons.

To start off this top 5 neutral lipsticks post, I want to talk about my beloved and now discontinued Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in Fiend. This was the second Urban Decay lipstick I ever purchased when my world opened up to high end makeup and it holds a close place in my heart. Anastasia Beverly Hills x Nicole Guerriero Glow Kit

Hi guys! Today I’ve got my first impressions of the beautiful Anastasia x Nicole Guerriero Glow Kit for you! Given that I love Anastasia Beverly Hills, the YouTuber Nicole Guerriero and highlighters, this purchase just seemed to tick off all the boxes. As well, these highlight shades seemed really quite unique to my collection as they are quite warm in tone. While I have seen some backlash on collaborations with YouTubers and so on, I personally think they are a great thing. Who wouldn’t want to collaborate with one of their favourite brands? I can only imagine it must be such a huge honour and career milestone for these people who started off with a camera and an internet connection. So, with that said, if it is a YouTuber I watch and a product that I think I would enjoy, I am more than happy to support it.

Monochromatic Makeup: Playing with Purples

Hi guys! I’m so sorry for yet another impromptu break but life has been a little bit hectic lately. As things begin to normalize, I’m starting to work on content again for you guys. It really makes me so happy to be working on this again because I always have found blogging to be such an amazing creative outlet. With that said, today, in my never ending quest to slather myself in the colour, I am playing with purples for this monochromatic look! The main inspiration for this was Becca’s Shimmering Skin Perfector in Prismatic Amethyst as I haven’t shown it on my face here yet. It really is quite beautiful, if I could somehow pull it off, I’d just cover my face in it, throw on some mascara and lipstick then call it a day! But, if I were to do that, I might as well strap a horn to my head and go full unicorn. So, let’s look my more practical, more restrained look!

Refresh and Reset Luxe Box

Hi guys! I’ve got a rather exciting post today as I’m sharing my first Luxe Box! A couple of days ago my wonderful husband surprised me with a randomly gifted Luxe Box. He mentioned that there was some kind of deal with American Express for this particular box so when he saw it, he thought of me.
