The Limited Edition Makeup Tag

Limited Edition Tag

Well, that was an unexpected break from blogging… My husband and I have been working on some home renovations and they were a lot more time consuming than I had expected (aren’t they all?). However, I’m back and hopefully will be returning to posting consistently. I was cruising Facebook a week or so ago and saw a new YouTube video by Chelle of Makeup Your Mind and I was super intrigued. I’ve embedded her video at the end of this post and I definitely suggest checking it out! The video was The Limited Edition Makeup Tag which allows creators to give some love to Limited Edition items that we may not talk about regularly due to the ability to get them anymore. I’m all for any opportunity to give some love to my favourite Limited Edition Makeup products so I was all about participating in this tag.

QUESTIONS:

1. What is the LE product you are most happy you got your hands on?

The Kat Von D Metal Matte Palette is hands down one of my favourite palettes in general, limited edition or not. It has a little bit of everything in it – both colourful and neutral so I keep coming back to it for creating different looks.

Limited Edition Palettes That I Still Love

Limited Edition Palettes

Limited edition… those two words that are meant to feel like you have to have something because someday it won’t be as easy to get your hands on. I have to admit, I’ve been hit by the urge to buy something because of those words. Particularly if it was something I was already interested in, the limited-edition-ness would simply seal the deal. This is because I have been burnt by missing out on a limited edition product that I really wanted because I waited too long. I try not to post about limited edition items when they are no longer available because I prefer that if something sparks interest with a reader, that they would be able to go out and purchase it. However, limited edition items need love too so today’s post is all about four limited edition palettes that I still love and use quite frequently. That’s the thing about limited edition items… sometimes they end up forgotten, no matter how much you felt like you needed to have it.

Anastasia Beverly Hills | Self Made Palette

Anastasia Beverly Hills Self-Made Palette

The Anastasia Beverly Hills Self-Made Palette was the first ABH eyeshadow palette that I ever purchased and it really sparked my love for their eyeshadow. For that reason and just how great this palette is, it has a very special place in my heart. I pull this palette out quite often because it has a great variety. My favourite combination is Sherbert in the crease with Hot & Cold all over the lid and Hot Chocolate in the outer-v and under my eye. However, the shade Isla is also gorgeous and fun to use! Best of 2017: The Game Changers

Best of 2017

I always find end of year favourites to be such a challenge. With so many products to choose from it’s hard to come up with a concise list that doesn’t miss anything. In keeping with how I did my best of 2016 post, I’m going to stick to what I considered to be game changers. These are products that I tried for the first time this year and loved enough to consider them “game changing”. Continue reading

Palette Spotlight: Morphe 9B Palette

Morphe 9B Palette

I’ve had the Morphe 9B Palette since the start of the year but I haven’t really talked about it much here on the blog. With that said, I thought it would be a perfect choice for my next Palette Spotlight post. I may typically hoard eye shadow palettes, but I do have a few other types, such as blush, as well!

Morphe 9B Palette

The Morphe 9B Palette leans rather warm, but it has a little something in it for a variety of makeup looks! It contains both matte and shimmer shades which adds to the variety. There are ore mattes than shimmers, which I tend to prefer from a blush anyhow. I would say that my favourite shade in this palette is probably the first on the second row. I do wish that Morphe normally named their shades, or at least numbered them to make it easier to blog about them! Blogger problems, am I right? Continue reading

I still have many more that I want to create but if I kept going this post would never go up.

MOTD: Fun with the Morphe 35O Palette

Morphe 35O Makeup Look

Hi guys! I’ve had the Morphe 35O Palette for about six months now and I realized that I haven’t done a single look using it here on the blog! Today, we are going to fix that! The Morphe 35O is quite possibly one of Morphe’s most popular makeup palettes. There was a good chunk of time where if you wanted this beauty you had to stalk social media and then be quick to order. Thankfully today it is easier to come by and I actually picked mine up from a Showcase store in my local mall. If you love warm colours, this palette was made for you!

Simple Cut Crease: KathleenLights Collabs Focused Look

Hi guys! Today I wanted to share with you the details of the look that I posted last weekend on Instagram of a look I did mainly using products that KathleenLights collaborated on with companies. I did the look in celebration of her birthday weekend which is why it is focused around her products. In case you didn’t figure it out,  I’m a huge fan of her channel and the collaborations that she has done. I’ve purchased quite a few of them and I have yet to find one that wasn’t worth it. Holiday Look: Warm & Cozy

Hi guys! As I mentioned earlier this week, I’m trying really hard to get into the holiday spirit since Christmas is face approaching! With that being said, I’m excited to share more holiday looks with you! I did a whole bunch last year and I’m ready to share more. Today I was inspired by the Colourpop Creme Gel Liner in Fast Lane that I recently hauled. I also was eager to bust out my Morphe x Kathleenlights Eye Shadow palette again for you guys because I’ve been wearing it a ton lately and I’m in LOVE. Today I stuck to gold as I feel like that’s a wonderful shade for holiday looks.

Morphe x Kathleenlights Eye Shadow Palette

Morphe x Kathleenlights Eye Shadow Palette

Hi guys! Today I’ve got my first impressions of the Morphe x Kathleenlights Eye Shadow Palette for you! I hesitated posting this as the palette is currently sold out, but Morphe is still posting it on their Instagram so fingers crossed that it comes back at least one more time! If you didn’t already guess or assume, this palette was done in collaboration with YouTuber, Kathleenlights, who is one of my favourite ones to watch!

The Morphe x Kathleenlights Eye Shadow Palette is a fairly neutral palette with a few pops of colour. It contains a mix of mattes and shimmers, as well as warm tones and cool tones. What I love about this palette is that it looks like something that, if you are familiar with her channel, Kathleenlights would use all the time.

Morphe x Kathleenlights Eye Shadow Palette

As for shadow quality, I have no complaints so far. I really enjoy my Morphe 35W palette so I knew I’d be happy with this one too. What I love about the mattes is that they are blendable and very  buildable. This would be a great palette for someone starting out as it doesn’t immediately pack on the pigment so you can achieve a soft blended crease. The shimmer shades are stunning as well and look almost metallic on the lid and are buttery soft to apply. Continue reading

Celebrating 27: Birthday Haul

birthday-haul-abh-morphe

Hi guys! If you follow me on instagram you might know that yesterday was my birthday! I turned the big 2-7 which seems crazy to me because the last years feel like they just zoomed by. Anyways, I thought I would share my birthday haul as that will give you a sneak peak into what I’ll be blogging about this month! I’ll have full posts with looks for both these items coming up! I also received some Sephora e-gift cards which I used during the VIB Rouge sale so I’ll have that haul in a separate post when it arrives.

Anastasia Beverly Hills | Modern Renaissance

anastasia-beverly-hills-modern-renaissance

When this palette first came out, I instantly knew I needed it, however it seemed like such an odd release for summer (it reminds me of fall) that I didn’t jump on it right away. After that, it kept going out of stock so when it came back in stock recently, my lovely sister scooped it up for me! I wore this palette out to dinner for my birthday so I’ll have that look up some time this week. After how much I loved the Anastasia Beverly Hills Self-Made Palette, I knew I’d love this one too.
