Colourpop Hi-Maintenance Eyeshadow Palette

Colourpop Hi-Maintenance

Hi guys! Last month I shared the Colourpop Hi-Maintenance Eyeshadow Palette as part of my September haul. I’d been dying to try Colourpop’s pressed eyeshadows since they had launched so this quad seemed like a good time to try them out. It contains two shimmery shades and two mattes. I love the colours included in this palette as I enjoy wearing red/burgundy shades on the eyes!

The Packaging is a simple white Colourpop cardboard palette, with no markings of which palette it is, or what shades it contains. That is, aside from the cardboard sleeve that it comes with which you can see above. The palette itself does feel quite sturdy though and the eyeshadows can be removed to be either switched-out or to be added to a z-palette. I wish the palette itself had the quad’s name and the names of the shades on it though.

I didn’t have any issues using any of the four shades included in the palette. Just in Time is a beautiful gold shade that I’m simply obsessed with wearing. It goes so beautifully with the matte shades in this palette. High Strung is more of a rose gold shade, which is also quite beautiful all over the lid. Get Out is a matte cranberry shade, whereas Cute Alert is more of a burgundy shade. Both matte shades blend effortlessly. In fact, I felt like I had to do minimal work blending any of these shadows into each other. The only thing this palette is missing is a transition shade, but in a quad like this, you can’t have everything. I have so many other transition shades in my collection. I also have just used it without one and was just as happy.

Under-eye: Cute Alert & Get Out

I also did use this palette for the makeup look I posted along-side the Shiseido Tokyo Beauty VoxBox. In that look I did a similar combination as above, but instead had Just in Time all over the lid. I also had Urban Decay’s Naked eyeshadow as a transition for that one.

Overall, I’m quite pleased with the quality of the Colourpop Hi-Maintenance Eyeshadow Palette. I’m always blown away by the quality of Colourpop products when they are so inexpensive. I definitely want to try more of their pressed eyeshadows in the near future!

  1. I have High Strung. Gorgeous shade. I have 5 total of the ColourPop pressed shadows and really love them. Think I might use some of them tomorrow.
