Five Neglected Palettes: Winter Edition

I had a lot of fun posting about my five neglected palettes that I was going to use more during the fall. That post was inspired by Chelle of Makeup Your Mind and her YouTube Video on the subject. I ended up doing a few makeup looks for the blog using my fall selections so I thought I’d pick five new ones to focus on for winter. I by no means exclusively used these palettes during the fall but I did make a point to reach for them more often. So let’s take a look at what I’m going to make a better effort to use this winter! Q4 Empties: October to December 2018

The last of my empties from 2018 and it’s a relatively small pile this time around. I didn’t finish much the last few months but honestly I wasn’t really using a ton of products. However, it is time to dispose of this trash so let’s chat about the products I emptied in the last quarter of 2018! Best of 2018

Nearly a week into 2019 and I’m still in a bit of disbelief that 2018 is over. I don’t know if the year flew by or if it seemed like a long year. I just can’t tell! While the summer flew by because my life revolved around fixing up my old house to get it ready to sell, it also feels like Paris (where I started the year) seems like an eternity ago. Anyways, regardless, I’m excited to share with you my best of 2018! I decided to categorize it this year to make it easier to round up my favourites to make sure nothing was missed. NYE Makeup Look: Huda Beauty Amethyst Obsessions

As usual I had a pretty low-key NYE at home with some close friends, but despite that, I always do something special with my makeup for the occasion. This year I decided to bust out my Huda Beauty Amethyst Obsessions Palette for the first time because ending and starting a year with purple makeup just seemed right. Collective Haul: December 2018

MOTD: Purple for Pancreatic Cancer

November is Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month and at work today I helped organize a fundraiser for this very important cause. After losing a friend to this illness last year I did some research and realize how truly terrifying this particular cancer is. Purple is the colour of Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month so we encouraged everyone to wear purple today so you know I had to have my makeup match!

Palette Spotlight: Natasha Denona Eyeshadow Palette 5 – Colour 1

It’s always so hard to choose which palette to swatch and chat about for Palette Spotlight but today I thought I’d grab the Natasha Denona Eyeshadow Palette 5 in Colour 1. I wish her smaller palettes had better names because it’s not fun to just simply say “Colour 1”. Oh well. I purchased this a few years ago during one of the VIB sales because I don’t think I would ever pay full price for one of her palettes. Their prices are absolutely insane. However, curiosity got the best of me and I had to try one.
