Top 3 Vampy Lipsticks

Vampy lipsticks are such a staple in my makeup collection. While I definitely wear them all year round, I am definitely more drawn to them during the colder months of the year. Today I thought I would share with you three of my current favourite vampy lipsticks in my collection. These are all liquid lipsticks as I find that type of formula generally packs more of a pigmented punch and are far easier to apply. Those are two factors I find very important in a dark lipstick.

Anastasia Beverly Hills | Liquid Lipstick in Heathers

Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick in the shade Heathers was one of the first vampy lipsticks that I added to my collection. It definitely adds a lot of drama to any makeup look I’ve worn it with. Too Faced Just Peachy Mattes

Hi guys! Today I’ve got a post that I’ve been excited to post for awhile as I have been absolutely loving the Too Faced Just Peachy Mattes Palette. First of all, it smells DELICIOUS, and secondly, it is full of pigmented and highly blendable peach toned eye shadows. At first, I didn’t think I needed this palette as I am seldom drawn to all-matte eye shadow palettes but after seeing a lot of amazing looks using this on other blogs and instagram my attitude changed. Thus, I hauled this in September and have no regrets. In fact, it became an instant favourite!

The Too Faced Just Peachy Palette contains twelve shades – 11 mattes and one snuck in pearly shade. It contains both neutrals, including a few great transition and crease shades, some pops of bright colour and some deeper shades. Basically, it has many bases covered in a relatively small palette. Colourpop Hi-Maintenance Eyeshadow Palette

Hi guys! Last month I shared the Colourpop Hi-Maintenance Eyeshadow Palette as part of my September haul. I’d been dying to try Colourpop’s pressed eyeshadows since they had launched so this quad seemed like a good time to try them out. It contains two shimmery shades and two mattes. I love the colours included in this palette as I enjoy wearing red/burgundy shades on the eyes!

The Packaging is a simple white Colourpop cardboard palette, with no markings of which palette it is, or what shades it contains. That is, aside from the cardboard sleeve that it comes with which you can see above. The palette itself does feel quite sturdy though and the eyeshadows can be removed to be either switched-out or to be added to a z-palette. I wish the palette itself had the quad’s name and the names of the shades on it though.

A Week of Urban Decay Naked Heat

Hi guys! I recently posted my first impressions of the Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette and today I’ve got a work week’s worth of different looks using it! I’ve been putting together these looks for a few weeks so as you can see in the post, my hair colour changes mid-way. Though the possibilities of this palette is quite limitless when it comes to putting together warm makeup looks I wanted to take the time to put together five looks that I think showcase this beautiful palette. Urban Decay Naked Heat: First Impressions

Hi guys! From the moment I laid eyes on this beauty, I knew she had to be mine. If you don’t already know by now, I am obsessed with Urban Decay. Their Naked Palettes are amongst my favourites and when I saw they were releasing a warm toned one, I immediately had to find out the earliest I could get my hands on it. Warm tones are definitely my favourites to wear on my eyes. My eye shadow palette collection probably leans more warm than anything else. So, the night of the pre-sale on the Urban Decay website, I had the website loaded 15 minutes in advance and waited patiently. Aside from some minor issues with the website, my order went through and the waiting continued. Four days later and this beauty was finally in my hands. So, let’s take a closer look at the palette that stopped my heart!

The Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette contains seven matte shades and five shades with shimmer. Ranging from lighter more neutral shades and some deeper warm shades, this palette has everything you need to create several complete eye looks. It also contains a double-ended brush to assist you in creating your ideal eye look. I rarely use the brush that comes with palettes but the Urban Decay ones are actually quite great to work with. Tarte Shape Tape Contour Concealer

Hi guys! Tarte Shape Tape Contour Concealer is probably a product you’ve heard about time and time again. That Ulta exclusive that is a bit of a pain for the rest of the world to get their hands on (unless you want to pay an arm and a leg for shipping and exchange like I did). After a couple of months of using solely this concealer, I’m ready to put in my two cents on this popular product.

The first thing I noticed about Tarte Shape Tape is how big the tube and wand are. At first I wondered if it was bulky packaging but the amount of product you get is quite impressive (and took away some my shipping & exchange rate bitterness). Compared to my usual go-to, Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer which contains 5 ml of product, you get 10 ml with Tarte Shape Tape! Definitely makes this more of a worthwhile investment. Love for Lipstick: Tarteist Creamy Matte Lip Paint

Hi guys! It’s been awhile since I’ve done a Love for Lipstick post so today I’ve got one featuring the Tarteist Creamy Matte Lip Paint in Adorbs! I picked this beauty up last month during the Sephora Spring VIB Sale and I’ve been testing it out ever since. I really love testing out new liquid lipsticks as I’m always on a quest to find the best wear times. I chose the shade Adorbs as it’s so bright and looks so summery. Plus, I didn’t already have any bright liquid lipsticks, bonus!

Formula

The formula of Tarteist Creamy Matte Lip Paint is a slightly thicker than I’m used to mousse-y formula. Application is really quite easy. Between the consistency of the formula, and the shape of the wand, I could easily get a nice clean, even application on the lips. The wand is a bit longer and less doe-footy than your typical liquid lipstick applicator. I thought this would make it harder to apply but this actually made it easier to get a precise application! Urban Decay | Revolution Lipstick in Fiend

To start off this top 5 neutral lipsticks post, I want to talk about my beloved and now discontinued Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in Fiend. This was the second Urban Decay lipstick I ever purchased when my world opened up to high end makeup and it holds a close place in my heart. Anastasia Beverly Hills x Nicole Guerriero Glow Kit

Hi guys! Today I’ve got my first impressions of the beautiful Anastasia x Nicole Guerriero Glow Kit for you! Given that I love Anastasia Beverly Hills, the YouTuber Nicole Guerriero and highlighters, this purchase just seemed to tick off all the boxes. As well, these highlight shades seemed really quite unique to my collection as they are quite warm in tone. While I have seen some backlash on collaborations with YouTubers and so on, I personally think they are a great thing. Who wouldn’t want to collaborate with one of their favourite brands? I can only imagine it must be such a huge honour and career milestone for these people who started off with a camera and an internet connection. So, with that said, if it is a YouTuber I watch and a product that I think I would enjoy, I am more than happy to support it.

Lorac Pro Palette
