Warm & Dramatic Makeup Look

Hi guys! I posted a picture of this warm & dramatic makeup look on Instagram on Saturday as it was what I wore out that evening. Since the photo seemed to be well received I thought I would share more details on that look with you today! Last Saturday I was going out to celebrate a birthday so I thought I would take a stab at the ever dreaded winged eye liner which I have about a 50% success rate with. After a bit of tweaking and evening, I managed to pull off wings that were relatively similar. When I do winged liner, my preference is the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner as that style of applicator seems to work best for me. Continue reading

Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette

Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette

Hi guys! Boy has this post about the Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette been a long time coming. I’ve been working on this post for pretty close to a month now! Because of that, there have been changes in my equipment so my apologies in advance for the inconsistency in the photos. Anyways, from the moment the Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette was announced, I knew it had to be mine. There was no question about it. It’s beautiful, it smells delicious and anything peach holds a very special place in my heart (more on that at the end of this post). I missed out on it the first time because I was about 15 minutes too late, but this time I snagged it right away! For this post I’ve pulled together four looks using the palette, which is mainly why this post took so long.

Mani Monday: Revlon Facets of Fuchsia

Revlon Facets of Fuchsia

Hi guys! Welcome to the first Mani Monday of 2017, kicking off the year I’ve got Revlon Facets of Fuchsia on my nails. This was a limited edition shade from Revlon that I picked up a few bottles of. It was love at first sight and I needed to make sure I had backups! Even so, I haven’t worn this polish in quite some time so I thought it was the perfect time to dig it out. Revlon Facets of Fuchsia is a glitter polish (fuchsia glitter pieces, who’d guess?) suspended in a black jelly base. My preferred way of wearing it is layered over a black cream polish to add opacity. Revlon Facets of Fuchsia is actually a dupe of Deborah Lippmann’s Bad Romance which appears to also be discontinued.

Products Used:

OPI Chip Skip
OPI Nail Envy Maintenance (1 coat)
OPI Black Onyx (1 coat)
Revlon Facets of Fuchsia (1 coat)
Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat (1 coat) Continue reading

Winter Bucket List

winter bucket list

Hi guys! I thought I would take a step away from beauty and chat about my winter bucket list. Winter is always a season that I feel like I just sit around waiting for it to be over. The snow, ice and cold are not friends of mine. I often wonder why I live in a climate that makes my face hurt, but here I am! Anyways, I thought making a short winter bucket list would help me make the most the winter season. Continue reading

Raspberrymint Sweet Lips

Raspberrymint Sweet Lips

Hi guys! Today I’ve got an exciting product review for you today. As a lover of matte lipsticks, I use a LOT of lip balm before application and when I go to bed at night. Lip balm is essential in my routine to keep my lips soft and prevent the dryness associated with matte lipstick. Cherish, the creator of Raspberrymint, kindly sent me two of her Sweet Lips to review. Considering how much I use lip balm, I was definitely up to the task of testing these out!

For those of you unfamiliar with the brand, Raspberrymint is a Canadian company with a focus on products that moisturize, nourish and hydrate which in turn promotes healthy looking skin and lips! They are cruelty-free and paraben-free.

Raspberrymint Sweet Lips

I was sent two of the Raspberrymint Sweet Lips in the scents Passion Fruit and Blueberry. Not that I recommend eating them (though it’s likely at least safe to injest), but they smell/taste delicious! It is formulated without artificial colours, fragrance and synthetic preservatives.
