2016 Empties (So Far)

Hi guys! It’s been awhile since I’ve done an empties post so I thought I would gather up the empties that I have been hoarding… I mean collecting… over the past few months and chat a bit about them. You can find my last empties post here! There is a few repeats this month from my last post, it just goes to show what I use the most!

Skincare

Neutrogena | Oil-Free Eye Make-Up Remover

I really enjoyed using this eye makeup remover, it does a great job at removing everything including waterproof mascara. You don’t need to use much of it so it generally lasts a few months. Would I repurchase it? Well, I did repurchase it, and I do use it from time-to-time but I have primarily switched to the Garnier Micellar Water to remove all of my makeup.

Neutrogena | All-in-One Make-Up Removing Cleansing Lotion

This is great for removing all of your makeup. It is meant to remove everything including eye makeup and lipstick, but I use this in conjunction with the Neutrogena Oil-Free EyeMake-Up Remover. It’s another product you don’t need to use much of so it lasts you quite awhile. Would I repurchase it? Once again, I did and I do use it on occasion, but for the most part the Garnier Micellar Water has taken over all of my makeup removing needs.

Olay | Complete All Day Moisturizer for Combination/Oily Skin

This is my go-to daytime moisturizer. Although the smell is less than desirable, I like it because it moisturizes my skin without adding oiliness. Would I repurchase it?  Yes, and I already have!

Garnier | Ultra-Lift Anti-Wrinkle Night Cream

This was my third container of this moisturizer so clearly I really like it. It’s what I usually apply to my face before going to bed. It has a nice creamy consistency and absorbs quickly into the skin. Would I repurchase it? Yes, however this time around I’m trying out the Garnier Miracle Sleeping Cream to see how it compares!

Origins | High-Potency Night-A-Mins

I picked this up as a 100 point perk from Sephora as I had seen it talked about quite a bit on YouTube. I really enjoyed using it, it absorbs super fast into the skin. I would use it at night occasionally instead of my usual Garnier product. Would I repurchase it? Maybe. I didn’t love it enough to pay full price for it ($53 CAD) but I would pick up another small one with my points.

Urban Decay | Eyeshadow Primer Potion in Original

This is my favourite eyeshadow primer ever. I’ve been trying out the Too Faced one since this ran out and I just don’t love it as much. I love this one because it is creamy, yet not oily. It truly keeps my eyeshadow in place and flawless all day. Would I repurchase? YES. I am going to purchase another one shortly because I need it in my life. I usually buy the travel sized one because it lasts me about for about six months of daily use.

L’Oreal | Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation in Classic Ivory

This is my second tube of this wonderful foundation. It works wonderfully with my oily skin and lasts all day. It has a nice medium coverage so it looks natural, while covering up any slight imperfections. I also love that it is a demi-matte as opposed to a full-on matte so it looks natural in that regard too. Would I repurchase? Definitely, and I already have actually! I do want to try more foundations but I can’t get enough of this one for now.

Well that wraps up my recent empties which means it’s time to throw these out and start the collection process all over again!

xoxo,

Robyn

  1. Awesome bunch of empties – I always get excited to see empty foundation! I’m working on one right now to finish for April. Fist bump!
I have a bunch of Origins skincare samples from Sephora – I think that Night A Mins is one of them. I need to open them up to try out.

    • I love seeing an empty foundation too, I think it’s can take forever to finish one if it has good coverage and you don’t need to use much. I really really wanted to love the Night A Mins but although I loved the smell, I just didn’t see much of a difference. Can’t wait to see what you think of it!

  2. Wow, lots of skincare empties! 🙂 I love Origins and I haven’t tried that one yet, I’ll have to see if I have it as a sample. UDPP is still my favorite primer after all of this time- so good!

    • It seems to frequently be a 100 point perk at Sephora so if you don’t have a sample it does tend to appear frequently. It smells delicious but I just didn’t notice much of a difference when using it.

Yes the UDPP is amazing, I’ve tried other primers but they never seem to work as well for me!
