What an unusually busy summer and fall it has been! I have had a super busy last few months but I’m settled into my new house, my makeup is unpacked and I have time to start working on blog content again! Morphe x Jaclyn Hill Vault Collection: Bling Boss & Ring the Alarm

Well over a month ago the Morphe x Jaclyn Hill Vault Collection finally launched after a controversial delay due to quality control issues. I debated whether or not to jump on board when the collection finally did launch but, controversial or not, I enjoy Jaclyn’s videos and I enjoyed the selection of colours in the palettes. My blog had also just turned 3 so I decided to treat myself. Five Neglected Eyeshadow Palettes

After an evening of cruising YouTube, a video by fellow Canadian Beauty Blogger and superb YouTuber, Chelle of Makeup Your Mind caught my eye. These days a unique video topic on YouTube is pretty far and few between but somehow she always manages to keep it fresh! The video that caught my eye this time was her 5 Neglected Palettes I’m Using This Autumn video. If you haven’t watched it, I highly recommend it. It really got me thinking about my neglected eyeshadow palettes and which ones I am going to make an effort of using more this fall.

Wow I can’t believe how long it has been since I last wrote a blog post. I’ve missed you guys! How was your summer? I can’t believe how quickly that flew by as well. I had a super, super, super crazy busy summer so that was why I had to be so absent here. But, things are settling down (for now) so I am going to try to get back into the swing of things. Morphe Haul

A few weeks ago I received an order that I had placed from Morphe! They recently (within the last few months?) opened up a Canadian website as they now have a warehouse here that they ship from. This was amazing news as Morphe’s shipping costs to Canada were generally pretty steep. On top of this they had a 20% sale for Canada Day so I just couldn’t pass up the opportunity to order a couple things I had my eye on. I just love their eye shadow and their brushes so much! Q2 Empties: April to June 2018

I have been dying to sit down and make time to write this empties post considering Q2 ended a couple of weeks ago. My husband has asked me more than once if I’ve wrote it yet so I can throw out my garbage (blogger husband problems?), haha! If you follow me on Instagram you already know why I’ve been absent a lot lately. However, if you do not… I recently announced that my husband and I bought our forever home so we have been busting our asses finishing the renovations/updates to our current house.

There’s a pretty good reason why I have been so silent blogging and instagramming lately… my husband & I bought our forever home which has meant picking up the pace on renovating our current house. Exciting times are ahead!! 😁💕🎉

Le Petit Marseillais Mandarin & Lime Body Wash

I was recently sent two samples of the Le Petit Marseillais Mandarin & Lime Body Wash complimentary for review from Influenster. I actually have a full sized bottle of their White Peach & Nectarine scent so the formula wasn’t new to me but I haven’t spoken about that on the blog yet either. Butter London Henley Regatta

It may not be Monday but I still wanted to share the manicure that I’m wearing this week with you. I’ve had Butter London Henley Regatta in my polish collection for quite a few years now but I don’t think I’ve shared it on the blog yet. This weeks manicure was inspired by my Little Mermaid Makeup Look that I shared earlier this week. I really wanted to combine a purple base (Essie Gel Couture in Turn N Pose) with this glittery teal beauty. The end result is a bit more reminiscent of a peacock but it’s all good! Little Mermaid Inspired Makeup Look

For the last week or so I’ve had a makeup look in my mind that I wanted to create. I wanted to create something inspired by the Little Mermaid. Meaning… I wanted to combine some foily purples and greens along with a pinky-red lip. Though I didn’t end up using the products exactly as I had envisioned I was quite pleased with how this Little Mermaid inspired makeup look turned out.
